Welcome!

Welcome to my website!

I am currently in the process of updating my portfolio and including materials from the 2022 - 2023 Academic Year.

You'll find my links to my papers and recorded talks under the research tab. Under the "Teaching" tab you'll find syllabi, course notes, video lecture recordings, course evaluations. Additionally, links to my grad school portfolio, teaching materials, course notes, and A.E.W. worksheet are under the "Syracuse Teaching Materials" tab.

Please email me or use the "Contact Me" page to reach out if you have any questions about my research or use of my materials.

About Me

I began my current position as a postdoctoral lecturer at Northwestern University in Autumn 2023. I will be teaching the year long honors Linear Algebra/Multivariable sequence as well as a potpourri of other courses. I will also be coordinating our Calc 1 course in Winter 2024.

From 2021-2023 I worked as an Assistant Professor at Seattle Pacific University. At SPU I taught a wide variety of courses, from Analysis to Intro to Statistics, experimenting with different styles of teaching such as IBL and incorporating gamification and mastery based grading. I also served as the faculty advisor for our newly formed AWM club.

In May 2021, I completed my PhD at Syracuse University. While there, I worked with Professor Will Wylie researching Riemannian geometry and geometric flows. At Syracuse, I had the opportunity to teach and TA for a number of courses. I also worked as the Curriculum Developer for the College of Engineering & Computer Science Academic Excellence Workshops. I served in a number of positions in the Math Grad Organization and the Syracuse University Chapter of the Association for Women in Mathematics.

I got my Bachelors of Science at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2016, majoring in Math and minoring in Philosophy. During my time there I was involved in a number of clubs and organizations. While playing on the Cal Poly Women's Lacrosse Club team, I was the B Team President for the 2014, 2015, and 2016 seasons. Additionally, I was the President of the Veritas Forum club, organizing biweekly meetings and a forum with attendance upwards of 1,300 people. I was involved in the math club, was a founding member of the Cal Poly chapter of the Association for Women in Mathematics, and worked as a Math Workshop Leader.

While I'm certainly involved in school, I also value being involved in my community. My spouse and I enjoy frequenting the Art Institute, rock climbing at local climbing gyms, and finding new pizza spots (and frequenting old favorites). My dog, Ricci, keeps us active year round. He loves to nap nearby while we work, to take us on long walks, and enjoys making friends everywhere we go.
