All throughout her life, Erika Radu has been committed to uplifting and empowering the members of her community. A value instilled in her by her family, Erika has always set importance on treating others with kindness, respect and dignity. Too often, families in need suffer in silence, because they either aren’t sure of where to turn or they’re afraid to admit that they need help. Lending a helping hand whenever and wherever she can, Erika strives to contribute to projects that offer help without burning those in need with the sting of the spotlight. While an act of kindness can certainly go a long way, sometimes grand gestures can take away from what’s most important: helping someone through a difficult time. Even a simple show of support can make an impactful difference in a family’s life! That’s part of why Erika enjoys volunteering for and supporting projects that focus on making a difference through direct support of individuals and families in need. During the holidays, she often sponsors families to ensure that someone in need is still able to enjoy the happiness and joy of the holiday season.
Outside of her volunteering and community involvement with St. Jude Hospital, Erika Radu also enjoys traveling in her spare time. A family oriented-individual, the Radu family vacation trips are extremely important to Erika. Her favorite part of vacationing is the mapping out of each trip; mainly because she has gotten so good at it! It’s safe to say that she now has a knack for creating trip itineraries that are fun for the whole family. In the future, she’s considering offering her itinerary building skills up on a volunteer or even freelance basis — stay tuned for more info!
