Erika Beleyovych

About me

My name is Erika Beleyovych. I am a dedicated student at the University of Oregon pursuing my Bachelor of Science with a major in Political Science, and with an Environmental Studies minor and a French Language minor. 

As an immigrant from Ukraine, my family did not have a significant connection to the land we lived on when we moved to the United States. The most foundational aspects of my connection to the environment were through outdoor-based learning experiences starting in elementary school. I believe every student deserves to develop a love for the environment called home. Through hands-on and nature-based learning, I believe we can empower future generations to pursue sustainability while having a comfortable lifestyle, and without compromising the needs of future generations.
