When playing alone, who is the winner? Paying homage to "Geri's Game," the ideas behind what a single player board game looks like in the modern sense are hinted at, while also poking fun at the original animated short.
This was a quick, fun project that accompanied a paper I wrote dissecting and understanding the narratology behind boardgames. In the paper, I briefly covered the narritology behind and including single-player board games. When writing this section, one of the pieces of media that came to mind was the Pixar short "Geri's Game" and how the idea behind playing games with yourself is explored through that. Because of that, I wanted to create my own take on this short and recreate it in my own style.
