Bad Decisions

After the success of the last solo series, The Buffalo Chips decided to do another one. Once again spanning across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, I wanted to make something somewhat different than what I did for the competition prior. This year, I wanted to make something a little more creative in the sense of how I used the camera and other effects. Instead of only different squares of me singing, I wanted to make something more in the ideas around a narrative.

I am really happy with the effect I got on this. How I filmed this was by putting my phone on a bike tire and spinning it around while filming in slow motion. This video took the form of trying to show snapshots in the process of a breakup while also going through the five stages of grief. Having 12 different sections to fill throughout the video, I had time to express each, however doing each while keeping the camera located in the same place while giving enough emotion to show each proved to be a little difficult. Editing it together was fun, though. Since the camera was always in the same place, I could easily match the spinning to blend right into the next shot.
