Does Viagra Work

Does Viagra Really Work?

Ever since it’s early introduction back in 1998, the medical treatment known as Sildenafil, and branded as Viagra, has been put to good use within a large percentage of men that suffer with erectile dysfunction. It was initially patented almost 20 years ago - and was first used orally to combat the consequences of a flaccid penis due to a decrease in blood flow.

Does Viagra Really Work?

In 99.9% of case subjects tested by more than 100 adult men in Australia and then again in the United States, the medication was successful in that it enhanced the blood flow within the males and allowed them to achieve an erection. The time that it took to do so varied from 15 minutes to an hour; but in the majority of cases an erection was achieved and was sustained for a period of at least 25 minutes.

With that in mind it’s clear to see that the medication does indeed work – but there have been a few reports whereby the individual may have experienced delayed results, or other side effects that they weren’t expecting. After being FDA approved, the medication was intended to treat erectile dysfunction but many users found themselves abusing their exposure, which posed a few medical concerns relating to the heart.

Since then, all suppliers have been ordered to provide dosage information with their packaging and any reliable provider will now have to ensure that the data that they provide corresponds with market standards to minimise the risk of overdosing.

What Factors Can Stop the Drug from Working?

There are some things that can impact the effectiveness of the medication and they include:

· Too low a dosage

· Outdated medication

· Too high a dosage

If a person doesn’t take their dosage as instructed in a manner that is too low, then the chemicals within the drug might not be potent enough to trigger a response within the body. On the other hand and if the user consumes too high an amount, they might find themselves experiencing an increased heart rate which can lead to potentially life-threatening complications.

That is why it’s important to follow the guidelines provided which will typically be based on the user’s age, their general health and the frequency in which they should expose themselves to the medication. On the other hand, outdated Sildenafil can lack any notable treatment; mainly due to the fact that the chemicals may have expired and will no longer be functional.

In all cases, always follow the advice provided within the packaging and if in doubt, consult a doctor.
