Erdem Dogukan Yilmaz
Assistant Professor of Strategy | INSEAD 

I am an Assistant Professor at INSEAD's Europe campus, where I teach the MBA elective New Business Ventures (NBV). My research explores innovation in digital markets, platform strategy, user innovation, and the development of artificial intelligence. My work has been published in top-tier academic journals, such as the Strategic Management Journal and Strategy Science.

I provide consulting services to both large corporations and early-stage startups. My work typically involves:

• Strategic responses to AI and digital disruption

• Innovation pipeline design and evaluation

• Growth strategies for digital platforms

I have received multiple awards for my research and have been a finalist for several honors, including the Strategic Management Society Best Conference Paper, Best Conference Paper Award Winner, FMA Applied Finance Conference, and the Kaja Rangus Emerging Scholar Paper Award.

I hold a Ph.D. in Management (cum laude) from Bocconi University and have an academic background in materials engineering.

Prior to pursuing my Ph.D., I played basketball in Turkey’s second division and continue to play with my friends whenever I have the opportunity.
