Adult members are the backbone of our club, in part as a result of the organizational skills and experience they bring, but also because many of them are involved as mentors/coaches in support of their kids and other junior members who want to ride... we love this! If you are a parent who rides, why not get your kids into it and plan to join with one or more of your children? We are most definitely a family friendly club.
Understanding that bicycles and cycling gear are expensive, one of the ways we support unior and family participation is to keep the base registration fees very affordable. These fees cover club membership with the Alberta Bicycle Association which provides insurance coverage and club support, and other adminstrative costs associated with an evolving club in support of its members. We don't mark up our club kit, our club tshirts or anything else in support of our membership, and we are establishing a growing supply of tools, other repair equipment etc. to keep member costs as low as possible.
Adult club membership fees are $100.00 + an extra $35.00 for those members wishing to take out an Alberta Bicycle Association racing license. Those wishing to race out of province, or internationally will also have to pay an international UCI license fee.
Our cycling kit pricing is found here will be updated soon to 2018 pricing.) The kit is highly recommended for purchase, but not mandatory unless a member plans to race in which case he/she must wear their team colors. It does look so cool to have everyone in their 'colors'!
In the interest of providing opportunities for youth in the sport of cycling, we offer our junior memberships at a 30% discount from the adult price.
Junior club membership fees are $70.00 + an extra $35.00 only for those members wishing to take out an Alberta Bicycle Association racing license. The club kit is also highly recommended for our young members, but not mandatory, again, unless the youngster plans to race in which case he/she must wear their team colors. We all know how much young people like to identify with the 'group,' and wearing the team colors provides that sense of purpose and belonging!
