Epitaxial Quantum Materials and Device Lab

Quantum Materials like transition metal oxides are a special class of materials exhibiting properties like Magnetism, Superconductivity, and Ferroelectricity. This diverse selection of properties is enabled by multivalency of the transition metal atom and complex interplay among Charge, Spin, Lattice, and Orbital degree of freedoms. Using thin film epitaxy, we  investigate and aim to discover emergent phenomena and functionalities in quantum material heterostructures that may pave the way for developing next-generation electronics.
