Masters Student
Justin Wu is an undergraduate researcher focused on developing and evaluating power injection and current injection models for various combinations of polar and rectangular forms in the integration of photovoltaic cells (PV). His work aims to minimize active power losses, reduce voltage deviations, and maximize PV power output. Additionally, Justin is conducting multi-objective optimization for the control of photovoltaic (PV) systems and battery energy storage systems (BESS), with the goal of maximizing grid resiliency while minimizing costs. This research is applied to a 33-bus distribution system, providing a framework for analyzing the trade-offs between these objectives.
