The Epson WorkForce DS-60000 is a formidable scanner built for high scanning volume and speed, and capable of automatically scanning tabloid-sized documents with its 200-sheet ADF. Although it didn't quite live up to its rated scan speeds, and was a bit sluggish in scanning to searchable PDF, it's an impressive machine suitable for meeting the demands of offices with prodigious scanning needs, including high-volume scanning.

Process is the same for either iscan or epsonscan.For example I downloaded iscan-gt-x770-bundle-2.30.4.x64.deb.tar.gz and epsonscan2-bundle-6.6.40.0.x86_64.deb.tar.gz.In an xterm I went to my download directory.Those are tar files that have used the gzip option.If you want to see the what the tar command is doing you run it like this:tar -xzvf iscan-gt-x770-bundle-2.30.4.x64.deb.tar.gzThis will create sub directory iscan-gt-x770-bundle-2.30.4.x64.deb/, change into it and if you have added your userID to sudo you can then run:sudo ./install.shThis works for iscan and/or epsonscan2.Afterwards the commands should have been added to your menu and you can run them from a terminal using epsonscan2 or iscan as the command.I tested both on Fedora, no problem at all with either but iscan was more feature rich however scanning of negatives is totally manual while the epson windows package automatically scans each negative frame as an individual file.

I finally tried iscan on my Ubuntu box and it fails trying to connect to the scanner, epsonscan2 work perfectly.I suspect I'm missing a sane package or there is a weird USP id error, the error window has the xsane logo on it.

Unble to scan using my Epson xp200 (printing functions properly) after upgrading to a 2020 MacBook Pro running Ventura. Epson support indicates there is no longer a scanner driver that works with Ventura and suggested I download Image Capture, which I have done. But when I open Image Capture, no devices are recognized. Epson Support said not to use a USB hub, but one is necessary since the 2020 MacBook Pro does not have a USB-A port. Then Epson provided a work around: Open Image Capture, click on FILE: TWAIN Reset. Then restart the printer. When I open Image Support, there is no File option (only Edit, View, Window and Help). Any suggestions?

I don't like ScanSmart from Epson, so I thought I would just download the drivers from the Epson site and then I could use Apple's ImageCapture or Preview to scan. But that didn't work; I didn't get the Mac Studio to recognize the scanner, though it was plugged in and available during the installs.

I resorted to download the whole utilities and drivers combo installer. With the e200 connected by USB to my computer and powered on, I did the complete install. Unlike the barebones installers for the drivers, the Epson installer for the combo prompted me through the whole install, including connecting to the scanner and making a test scan. 2351a5e196
