@stex2005@Rejin , What do you have reached for that?I'm making an Articulated Robot that will be used in industry, it has delta drivers that can communicate through EtherCAT protocol. I want to control it using ROS. I have found a lot of ways that made me confused such as SOEM package, Hardware_ethercat package, and connecting EtherCAT master devices What should I do? And what are the hardware components that I will need to buy? what I have are a PC with ROS installed (or a Jetson controller), industrial drivers with EtherCAT protocol, and motors

DROP shipped us out their new EPOS PC38X Gaming Headset, the successor to their PC37X, advertised as having comparatively improved comfort, build quality and sonic performance. The PC38X uses the same drivers as the Sennheiser GSP 500 and 600 headsets, with a bit of a twist.

The drivers are installed on an angle which is touted to offer more accurate stereo positioning to give you a better idea where threats are coming from while you are gaming. The open backs of the ear cups are also said to improve positional accuracy, not to mention keeping your ears at a comfortable temperature during long gaming sessions.

The performance should be similar to the EPOS GSP 602 which Sebastian has reviewed, or the Sennheiser GSP 600 which Chris reviewed quite a few years back. On the other hand, those two headsets both featured closed backs and lacked the angled drivers, so there should be some unique qualities to the DROP + EPOS PC38X.

For gaming it was plugged into my Sound BlasterX G5, which I talked briefly about way back in Podcast #405, to make sure that the angled drivers of the PC38X were getting a signal that would provide a best case scenario.

As for the angled drivers, it is hard to say if they offer a superior experience to normally mounted drivers. One thing I can say for sure is that they definitely are not worse, and in fast paced shooters they will not let you down when you are trying to figure out where a noise came from. In more sedate and stealthy games, the tuning of drivers does help emphasize the noises made by enemies and NPCs moving over the environmental noises which is worth the price of admission.

Moving up once again to something even more demanding, the HIFIMAN HE4XX. These are planar magnetic drivers, and even though they are 35 ohms their sensitivity is low at 93dB. This means that I had to bump the volume to almost 100% with the Fulla 3, and this thing delivers beautiful tight bass with nice smooth high-end. The GSX 1000 needed 100% volume to drive these headphones, proving that this is not a sound card for a headphone that has low sensitivity. However, it was a perfect example of hearing the difference between the sound signatures, since both the GSX cards have slightly fuller body on the low-end and more pleasing tones, whereas the more powerful Fulla 3 delivers very analytical, clean output. While both GSX units have a warmer presentation, more pleasing sound, a slightly wider soundstage by default, I wish the GSX 300 had slightly more power to drive something like the HE4XX. Overall, I like everything about the sound signature in this sound card, the bass while still very tight is slightly more airy than what you get with the GSX 1000 and the Fulla 3.

What is the USB vendor class you want to implement? Is it a standard class defined by USB-IF? The Linux kernel implements most (if not all) standard classes under folder drivers/usb/gadget/. If there doesn't have the gadget function you need, you can implement your own gadget driver there.

I initially had the EPOS|Sennheiser Gaming Suite installed, which is supposed to be a driver of sorts. You're supposed to be able to connect the dongle for the headset into the PC and have it sort itself and the drivers out itself without the Gaming Suite installed.

What do you reckon I should do?

I have configured all the drivers via V-Assistant like gear ratio, one tap commissioning and other parameters like p2542, p2544, p2546 as the siemens help says they must be increased N times if the parameter p29247 is increased N times.

The GTW 270s sound is really good. You're never going to beat a gaming headset with drivers ten times the size of the GTW 270s 6mm drivers. But in fact, that makes the gaming earbud's audio performance that bit more impressive. 006ab0faaa
