• EPOS Impact 500 — biggest strength: Teams-certified UC focus with EPOS AI Voice Technology, adaptive hybrid ANC and up to 35 hours of talk time in a lightweight on-ear design.
• EPOS Impact 500 — biggest trade-off: On-ear faux-leather cushions press on the ear rather than around it, so long sessions may not suit people who prefer an over-ear fit.
• Morpheus 360 Aspire ANC — biggest strength: Five microphones feeding a true hybrid ANC system, Bluetooth 5.4, up to 40 hours of battery and a hard shell travel case with a fold-flat design.
• Morpheus 360 Aspire ANC — biggest trade-off: No Teams certification and no quick-charge figure beats its 2-hour full charge, so a heavy meeting schedule needs planning around the plug.
• Pick EPOS Impact 500 if your day is calls, meetings and UC platforms, and you want the headset to disappear on your head.
• Pick Morpheus 360 Aspire ANC if you split time between work, travel, music and gaming, and want one pair that folds away in a case.
The Impact 500 is a work-first headset. Everything in the spec sheet points at the office worker, the hybrid employee and the person who lives in Microsoft Teams. The bullet points call it Teams Certified and UC compatible with Zoom and Google Meet, and the whole design leans into that: hybrid active noise cancellation on the listening side, EPOS AI Voice Technology on the microphone side, and dual USB-C and USB-A connectivity so plug-and-play works with whatever laptop you're handed.
That microphone story is the real differentiator. EPOS AI Voice is designed to isolate your voice from the noise around you, which is exactly what matters when you're the person on the call and not just the person listening. The adaptive and hybrid noise cancellation handles the other half — background noise around you gets reduced, so you hear the meeting rather than the room.
Battery is stated at up to 35 hours of talk time. That's a full week of ordinary meeting days on one charge, and it's talk time specifically, which is the number a call-heavy user actually cares about. The on-ear leatherette cushions and 391 g weight keep it portable, and Bluetooth 5 means you can also pair it wirelessly when you don't want a cable.
Who should skip it? If you want to disappear into an album on a long flight, the on-ear fit and work-tuned feature set won't be the most immersive option. And if you need a wired connection as a fallback, note there's no 3.5 mm jack here — it's a wireless headset with USB dongle connectivity.
The Aspire ANC plays a different game. It's an over-ear headphone for people who want one pair for work, travel, entertainment and gaming, and the spec sheet backs that up generously. The headline number is five microphones: two outside each cup measuring outside noise, two inside measuring what you actually hear, and one dedicated to voice and conference calls. That's a genuinely serious hybrid ANC layout, and the description cites noise reduction figures in the hybrid range.
Bluetooth 5.4 is the newer platform of the two here, described as low-energy with a stronger signal, better stability and improved battery efficiency. Battery life is stated at up to 40 hours, with a 2-hour charge time and USB Type-C fast charging — a 15-minute quick charge is quoted as delivering up to 6 hours of playback. That quick-charge detail matters more than the headline number for anyone who forgets to plug in.
The physical package is where it separates further. A hard shell travel case with a mesh pocket for cables, a tri-fold design that folds flat for slipping into a laptop bag, and a weight of just 4 ounces for the case itself. There's also a 3.5 mm AUX cable in the box, so you can keep listening wired when the battery is empty — a real safety net the EPOS doesn't offer.
Who should skip it? If your employer standardizes on Teams certification and UC platform optimization, the Aspire ANC doesn't claim that. And if you dislike over-ear bulk, the fold-flat design helps but it's still a full-size headphone.
• Best for UC and Teams calls → EPOS Impact 500. Teams Certified, UC compatible, EPOS AI Voice on the mic.
• Best for noise cancelling hardware → Morpheus 360 Aspire ANC. Five microphones and a true hybrid ANC array.
• Best for battery life → Morpheus 360 Aspire ANC. Up to 40 hours against up to 35 hours of talk time on the EPOS.
• Best for a forgotten charge → Morpheus 360 Aspire ANC. 15-minute quick charge for up to 6 hours of playback.
• Best for wired backup → Morpheus 360 Aspire ANC. Included 3.5 mm AUX cable; the Impact 500 has no headphone jack.
• Best for travel and storage → Morpheus 360 Aspire ANC. Hard shell case, mesh cable pocket, fold-flat tri-fold design.
• Best for all-day wear in a light package → EPOS Impact 500. On-ear, soft leatherette, built around hybrid workdays.
• Best for new Bluetooth → Morpheus 360 Aspire ANC. Bluetooth 5.4 versus Bluetooth 5 on the EPOS.
• Best for mixed use — music, movies, gaming, calls → Morpheus 360 Aspire ANC. Over-ear drivers and a 3.5 mm option.
• Best for plug-and-play on any laptop → EPOS Impact 500. Both USB-C and USB-A connectivity included.
In my opinion, the EPOS Impact 500 is the better buy if your job is the reason you're shopping — Teams certification, EPOS AI Voice and dual USB-C/USB-A connectivity make it the more purposeful work headset, and 35 hours of talk time covers a serious meeting week. I'd choose the Morpheus 360 Aspire ANC instead if the headset has to do everything: commute, fly, game, listen and take calls. Five microphones, Bluetooth 5.4, 40 hours, quick charge, a 3.5 mm fallback and a hard case is a broader toolkit. Buy for the job, or buy for the whole week.
For UC platform work, yes — in my opinion. It's Teams Certified and UC compatible, and EPOS AI Voice is designed to isolate your voice from background noise. The Aspire ANC has a dedicated call microphone too, but it doesn't carry the same UC certification claim.
The Aspire ANC has the more elaborate hardware on paper: five microphones across outside and inside the ear cups for hybrid ANC. The Impact 500 uses adaptive hybrid ANC as well, but doesn't publish a microphone count or a dB figure. If ANC depth is your priority, the Aspire ANC's spec is the more detailed case.
Morpheus 360 Aspire ANC, at up to 40 hours versus up to 35 hours of talk time on the EPOS Impact 500. The Aspire also quotes a 15-minute quick charge for up to 6 hours of playback, plus a 2-hour full charge time.
Only the Aspire ANC ships with a 3.5 mm AUX cable for wired listening. The EPOS Impact 500 has no headphone jack — it connects wirelessly via Bluetooth or through its USB-C and USB-A dongles. Check the current price on Amazon before deciding.
