Priya is one of Gabriel's closest and best friends. Her mother escaped India when the turmoil was high there and had Priya in Abraicuria. The Queen took interest in her mother, Aditi and hired her on as a cook, later on working her way up to head chef.

Priya is left to the castle tutors along with Gabriel, raised alongside him. They are fast friends and even though she doesn't come from royal background, she understands where few others might.

Even though Gabriel goes off to study and act later, Priya cheers him on from the sidelines, always showing up when needed and being the supportive best friend she is. She mostly stays behind in the palace as a Lady's Maid or as Gabriel has teased her over text, Nanny, for Gabriel's younger sisters. It's hard work keeping up with those two, but it's that work she enjoys all the same.
