Yrene grew up in Southern Fenharrow with a magically gifted mother, the gifts of which she inherited and learned from in the beginning. When the fall of magic arrived and soldiers came for her and her mother, her mother was unfortunately killed and Yrene escaped to the Oakwald forest.

She managed to escape to her mother's cousin, who took her in. She lived there until she was eighteen at which she planned to go to study healing at the Torre Cesme. Unfortunately for her, Yrene ran out of funds on her journey and had to work at a inn in Innish where she met Celena Sardothian for the first time.

Since Celena helped her with her injuries, after helping her with some thugs that had tried to attack her, she had been most surprised when Celena gave her some funds and words of encouragement to follow her dreams of becoming a healer because the world needed more of them.

So that's what she did. Eventually Yrene was able to leave the dusty inn and go to the Torre Cesme where she insisted the Healer of High, Hafiza to hire her.

Her talents grew and Yrene became well known in the Torre Cesme, so well known that Hafiza made her her heir apparent.

When a soldier arrived unable to walk, Hafiza gave her the task of healing him. Yrene was up for it, however begrudgingly since she was not fond of Adarlan soliders. However, as the two got to know each other, they formed something of a bond and fell in love.

Yrene ended up going with the soldier to help in the war and what a role that ended up being for her because in the end, the people were chanting her name in the streets and now Yrene was on her way to Adarlan to help build the kingdom and make it better than it had once been.
