alexander grew up in texas, raised by his mother, ellen claremont and father oscar diaz, alongside his sister beatrice. his parents became involved in politics and he always anticipated going into the field himself. his parents breaking up was hard for alex, though he often pretended that he was fine with it. ever since, he kept the key to his texas home tucked under his shirt as a reminder of where he belonged, no matter where he ended up.
his mother was elected as madam president in 2016 and he made the move to the white house with her, though at the time it was uncommon for the presidents children to stay at the white house. it made more sense for him to with his college so close. his older sister, june, came along with him to help keep an eye on him. though with their friend nora around, he still got up to trouble anyway.
when he first met prince henry, the prince of england, he was rather taken aback by his brash attitude toward him. the other boy having told his guard to send him away. ever since then, he was determined to hate the man.
alex met henry again at the first prince's royal wedding. there, the two of them made the headlines by causing a huge scandal when they knocked over the cake. his mother and prince henry's team decided that they would make nice and pretend to be friends to the public, much to alex's dismay. he was sent to london to do interviews and act like he got along with henry. at first he wanted to continue his hating act, but as time got on, he got to know the man. there was definitely more to henry than met the eye.
when he went back to the states, alex dove back into school. though he and henry started bonding over text. at the new year party, thigns took a turn when henry kissed him. alex's world turned upside down and he realized that maybe there was more to this thing with henry after all. after the fact, he spoke with nora, who helped him realize that he might be bisexual, which was something that took him time to adapt to.
alex and henry continued their questionable relationship, going out of their way to meet when they could and taking to hotel rooms for steamy sessions together. at one point, alex invited henry to come stay in texas at his father's lake house. he was going to tell henry he loved him then, but henry evaded him and left the next morning. henry ghosted him after that, making alex irrational to the point that he took the soonest plane to london and demanded to be let into kensington palace. henry broke down, alex did too and after a bit of talking, they agreed to make this work.
and it did, for awhile, until the emails broke and both were devastated. henry had to deal with things at home and alex in the white house. he had support from his family, but it was henry he was worried about, so he was flown to london and helped henry face his family. henry's mother made a stand against the queen and after some talks, they were allowed to be together. alex stayed in london for a short time to take official portraits with henry before flying back to america for the election. his mother won. henry was there too, everything was right in the world. now they just needed to move forward together.
alex and henry end up moving in together at the brownstone henry buys in brooklyn. alex attends law school there and intends to make a difference in the world.
