This privacy policy describes how the Eole application , developed by Code-log, collects, uses, and protects user information.Â
Eole requests access to your approximate or precise location (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION, ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION) solely to automatically determine your city and display the corresponding weather forecast.
This data is used only locally on your device, to make a request to the weather service (see section 2).
It is never stored on a server, never shared with third parties, and never used for advertising or tracking purposes.
You may deny this permission: the App remains fully usable by searching for a city manually.
You can revoke this permission at any time from your device settings (Settings > Apps > Eole > Permissions).
The App stores the following on your device only:
your preferences (temperature unit, favorite city, theme);
a cache of recently viewed forecasts, for faster and partially offline operation.
This data is never transmitted to Code-log or any third party. It is deleted if you uninstall the App or clear its cache.
Eole does not require an account and does not collect your name, email address, phone number, or advertising identifier. No analytics or advertising SDK is integrated into the App.
To provide weather forecasts, the App queries the public Open-Meteo API (https://open-meteo.com). During this request, geographic coordinates (searched city or approximate location) and your device's IP address are transmitted to Open-Meteo, subject to their own privacy policy, available on their website.
Eole also uses Google Play Services Location to obtain GPS position, subject to Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
Code-log does not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for commercial or advertising purposes. The only data transmissions are those strictly necessary to provide the weather service, as described in section 2.
Communications between the App and third-party services are encrypted using HTTPS. The App does not collect or store any sensitive data (passwords, identity documents)
If you reside in the European Union, you have the right to access, rectify, and delete your data under the GDPR. Since Eole does not collect any personal data on a remote server, exercising this right simply consists of uninstalling the App, which removes all locally stored data.
For any questions, you can contact us at: support@code-log.com
The App is not specifically directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from this audience.
