Nazareth Convent High School, Vasai, celebrated World Environment Day on 25th June 2026 in the school auditorium with great enthusiasm and a renewed commitment towards environmental protection. The theme for this year, “Inspired by Nature for Climate, for Our Future,” echoed with the global celebration hosted by Azerbaijan, bringing the world together with one urgent message: every environmental decision we make today is a signal for tomorrow.

The programme began with an introduction to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the United Nations to create a sustainable future for all.

The highlight of the day was a powerful and thought-provoking street play titled “Dharti Ne FIR Likhwayi.”

The street play was followed by a prayer service for the environment, seeking God's blessings for the protection and preservation of creation.

A soulful rendition of the Earth song touched the hearts of the audience. While a graceful dance performance on Heal the World conveyed a poweful message of hope, resposibility, and collective action.

Principal, Sr. Elizabeth Jaya Rani, shared her words of wisdom and urged everyone to move beyond merely speaking about environmental protection and instead practise it in their daily lives.
