Welcome to my website! 😄
Synthetic insecticides and their botanical alternatives are essential to modern agricultural and public health insect management. However, these chemicals rarely act in isolation. Many insecticide products are formulated as mixtures, and even individually applied compounds eventually interact in the environment through residues and sequential applications. These co-exposure scenarios often trigger synergistic or antagonistic toxicological interactions, leading to uncertainty in both efficacy against pests and environmental risks for non-target arthropods.
My research focuses on the mechanistic understanding, predictive modeling, and optimization of chemical mixtures and toxicological interactions in target and non-target insects. My goal is to develop effective, yet environmentally sound insect pest management strategies and to improve the regulatory frameworks used to assess them.
