Entity

This module extends the entity API of Drupal core in order to provide a unified way to deal with entities and their properties. Additionally, it provides an entity CRUD controller, which helps simplifying the creation of new entity types.

An entity is something that exists as itself. It does not need to be of material existence. In particular, abstractions and legal fictions are usually regarded as entities. In general, there is also no presumption that an entity is animate, or present.

The word entity is derived from the Latin entitas, which in turn derives from the Latin ens meaning "being" or "existing" (compare English essence). Entity may hence literally be taken to mean "thing which exists".

Ontology is the study of concepts of existence, and of recognition of entities. The words ontic and entity are derived respectively from the ancient Greek and Latin present participles that mean "being".

In medicine, a disease entity is an illness due to a particular definite cause or to a specific pathological process. While a disease entity is not defined by a syndrome, it may or may not be manifest in one or more particular syndromes.

In computer science, an entity is an object that has an identity, which is independent of the changes of its attributes. It represents long-lived information relevant for the users and is usually stored in a database.

The business entity search functionality does not only let you search for businesses registered with the Commonwealth, but also gives you the ability to view their filing history, RA history, and instantly download filing images all without needing to create a login to the Clerk's Information System.

Businesses that are forfeited, inactive, cancelled, merged, or dissolved, are not eligible to associate with a Trade Name Renewal. If forfeited, this entity must be reinstated before it can be associated with a Trade Name Renewal.

Dialogflow provides predefined system entities that can match many common types of data. For example, there are system entities for matching dates, times, colors, email addresses, and so on. You can also create your own custom entities for matching custom data. For example, you could define a vegetable entity that can match the types of vegetables available for purchase with a grocery store agent.

An entity license is issued to those corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and limited partnerships who wish to operate as insurance agents, brokers, consultants, independent adjusters, public adjusters, and others, as defined in New York Insurance Laws.

Non-residents must be currently licensed in the corporate name and be in compliance in the declared home state. On April 4, 2022, the federal government stopped using the DUNS Number to uniquely identify entities. Now, entities doing business with the federal government use the Unique Entity ID created in SAM.gov. They no longer have to go to a third-party website to obtain their identifier. This transition allows the government to streamline the entity identification and validation process, making it easier and less burdensome for entities to do business with the federal government.

If your entity is registered in SAM.gov today, your Unique Entity ID has already been assigned and is viewable in SAM.gov. This includes inactive registrations. The Unique Entity ID is located on your entity registration record. Remember, you must be signed in to your SAM.gov account to view entity records. Refer to the Guide to Getting a Unique Entity ID if you want to get a Unique Entity ID for your organization without having to complete an entity registration. If you only conduct certain types of transactions, such as reporting as a sub-awardee, you may not need to complete an entity registration. Your entity may only need a Unique Entity ID.

The change we made creates predictability for the cost of entity validation services. By separating the government requirement for a Unique Entity ID from the government requirement to validate that the entities are unique, we introduced competitiveness into entity validation services. We then competed and awarded a new contract for entity validation services that is not connected to the identifier itself. We chose to have the new, non-proprietary identifier both requested in and generated by SAM.gov to reduce the burden of change; the transition in identifiers only needs to happen once, even if in the future a different entity validation service provider is selected.

A domestic entity is one that is being created in Georgia for the first time and may take the form of a corporation, LLC, or partnership. Select the form you want to create below and follow the steps in the guide.

Determine if you are a foreign or domestic business entity. A domestic entity is one that is being created for the first time in Georgia. A foreign entity is one that already exists outside of the State of Georgia - whether that is another country or simply another U.S. state. Foreign entities must follow a different procedure to do business in Georgia.

Select a registered agent for your business entity. The registered agent is the person or entity designated to receive any service of process, documents, or other official communication on behalf of the business. A registered agent must be located in Georgia.

No. The test is a fact-specific analysis that focuses primarily on whether the ownership, management and operations of the separate entities are, in fact, sufficiently interrelated to warrant treating them as a single entity. All factors are evaluated when determining whether a separately acquired company or a subsidiary of the parent company constitutes a federal contractor subject to OFCCP jurisdiction. A business or organization need not meet all five factors to be considered a single entity.
