If you want a sleek, solar-powered storage solution that integrates seamlessly with your vehicle's aerodynamics for high-speed track days and long-distance cruising, choose ENROAD Slim Roof Mounted; if you need massive, drill-free cargo capacity that hangs off the rear hitch to preserve your roofline and maximize interior space, choose EYHMAILOE Hitch Mounted Roof.
• ENROAD Slim Roof Mounted: Its biggest strength is the intelligent fingerprint unlock system paired with a built-in 30W solar panel and power bank, offering true off-grid utility; its trade-off is the strict requirement for existing roof crossbars and the premium cost of advanced electronics.
• EYHMAILOE Hitch Mounted Roof: Its biggest strength is the sheer 480L capacity and zero-drill installation that frees up your roof for other gear like bikes or kayaks; its trade-off is the lack of integrated smart features and the fact that it sits lower on the chassis, which may limit clearance in tight garages.
• Best for: The ENROAD is for the tech-savvy traveler who values quiet driving and self-sufficiency, while the EYHMAILOE is for the family or adventurer who needs maximum volume without modifying their vehicle's roof structure.
The ENROAD Slim Roof Mounted Cargo Box is engineered for the driver who treats their vehicle as a command center rather than just a transport machine. This unit stands out immediately because of its intelligent security features. Instead of fumbling for keys in the rain or worrying about losing a traditional lock mechanism, this box utilizes a capacitive fingerprint sensor that recognizes fingerprints with a 99% recognition rate in under half a second. You can program up to twenty different fingerprints, making it incredibly convenient for families or carpooling scenarios where multiple people need access. It even includes an emergency mechanical key and a secondary front lock, ensuring that safety is never compromised despite the modern convenience.
What truly sets this carrier apart for serious road trips and track days is the integration of renewable energy directly into the shell. This isn't just a gimmick; it provides real-world utility by allowing you to charge devices like an iPhone 16 up to 3.5 times during a drive or a stop. You can also use the Trispark power bank as a camping light with adjustable color temperatures ranging from warm 2000K to cool 4000K, plus an SOS mode for emergencies. For anyone spending time away from the grid, this feature transforms the cargo box from a passive container into an active power source.
Aerodynamically, the ENROAD is designed to cut through the air with minimal resistance. The perfectly aligned upper and lower shells work together to drastically reduce wind noise and drag, a critical factor when driving at highway speeds or pushing a car on a track. It has won the Red Dot Design Award 2025, a testament to its clean lines and functional form. The mounting system is equally refined, using an innovative ClickHold mechanism with a rack-and-cam lever structure. This allows for a secure attachment to roof bars in just two simple steps—pull and push—saving significant time during setup while creating more usable internal storage space by eliminating bulky mounting hardware inside the box. With TÜV-certified safety standards, five curved reinforcement ribs, and a double-shell base, it offers stability that feels confident even on bumpy terrain. However, this level of sophistication requires you to have compatible roof rails already installed on your vehicle, and the complexity of the electronic components means it is best suited for those who value high-tech integration over raw, unadulterated volume.

The EYHMAILOE Hitch Mounted Roof Cargo Box is built for a very different philosophy: maximum utility with minimum hassle. If your priority is getting the most stuff possible into your vehicle without sacrificing the ability to carry large items like bicycles, kayaks, or skis on the roof itself, this hitch-mounted solution is the answer. By hanging off the rear hitch receiver rather than sitting on top, it completely eliminates the risk of paint damage often associated with drilling or heavy clamping on the roof. The no-drill design comes with complete mounting hardware, allowing for easy installation and removal without leaving any permanent marks on your car's bodywork. This makes it an ideal choice for renters, leaseholders, or anyone who wants to switch vehicles frequently without worrying about compatibility or damage.
Capacity is the undeniable hero here. With a generous 480L volume, this white ABS carrier provides ample room for extended camping gear, sports equipment, or household moving supplies. The "Sports Style" aesthetic is functional, designed to look rugged while protecting contents from the elements. The manufacturer notes that it solves the problem of limited original roof space, effectively freeing up the roof rack for vertical loads like boats or bikes while keeping the bulk of your luggage securely locked away behind the bumper. For outdoor travel, the lockable mechanism secures cargo firmly against theft risks, ensuring your gear stays stable even on bumpy roads. It is a straightforward, no-nonsense piece of equipment that prioritizes holding power and ease of use over electronic bells and whistles.
However, there are trade-offs to consider. While it optimizes wind resistance better than ordinary racks to reduce high-speed noise, it does not match the aerodynamic profile of a low-profile roof box that tucks tightly against the vehicle's silhouette. Because it mounts to the hitch, it lowers your vehicle's ground clearance slightly compared to a roof mount, which could be a concern for steep driveways or deep snow. Furthermore, unlike the ENROAD, it lacks any integrated power generation or smart locking technology. It is purely a storage vessel. This makes it perfect for the pragmatic buyer who doesn't care about charging phones via solar panels but cares deeply about having enough room to pack the entire family's gear for a weekend getaway without taking up passenger space inside the cabin.
• Best for high-speed stability and low wind noise → ENROAD Slim Roof Mounted (Red Dot certified aerodynamics).
• Best for maximizing total cargo volume → EYHMAILOE Hitch Mounted Roof (480L capacity vs standard roof limits).
• Best for users who cannot drill into their roof → EYHMAILOE Hitch Mounted Roof (No-drill hitch installation).
• Best for multi-user access and quick entry → ENROAD Slim Roof Mounted (Fingerprint sensor with 20 profiles).
• Best for carrying oversized vertical gear simultaneously → EYHMAILOE Hitch Mounted Roof (Leaves the roof free for bikes/kayaks).
• Best for long-term warranty peace of mind → ENROAD Slim Roof Mounted (5-year warranty included).
• Best for budget-conscious buyers seeking pure utility → EYHMAILOE Hitch Mounted Roof (Fewer complex electronics to fail).
After weighing the specifications and use cases, I would buy the ENROAD Slim Roof Mounted for my own track day and touring needs. The combination of the fingerprint sensor and the integrated solar power bank offers a level of convenience and self-sufficiency that the EYHMAILOE simply cannot match. On a track day or a long road trip, the ability to charge devices on the go and access your gear instantly without fumbling for keys is invaluable. The Red Dot award-winning aerodynamics also promise a quieter, more stable ride at speed, which is essential when performance matters. While the EYHMAILOE is a capable beast for raw volume, the ENROAD represents a smarter evolution in rooftop storage that actively supports the journey rather than just storing the baggage.
No, the ENROAD uses a ClickHold system with a rack-and-cam lever that attaches in just two simple steps (pull and push), requiring no complicated tools or prolonged setup time.
Absolutely not. The EYHMAILOE is designed with a no-drill installation process that uses a complete hardware kit to secure the box to the hitch receiver without damaging the vehicle's paint or body.
Since it mounts to the hitch receiver, the EYHMAILOE generally clears the roof and rear window area, though you should verify your specific vehicle's hitch height and bumper clearance to ensure the 480L box does not interfere with a large rear wing or spoiler.
