South-East Asian Economist for more than a decade in Global Markets of various Asia-Pacific-based Investment Banks , I am currently assuming the role of UOB Indonesia Head of Economic & Market Research, superseding my previous role of Financial Sector Specialist at AMRO since mid-2014. Research and market experiences are focused mainly on the ASEAN-5 economies (Indonesia - Malaysia - Thailand - the Philippines - Singapore). Journal articles have published some of Enrico's notable research on monetary policy and financial markets along with other macroeconomic issues. Enrico brings his decade-long financial market experience as the South East Asian Economist for various foreign banks such as Nomura and the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and regional banks such as OCBC, RHB (before: OSK-DMG), and Maybank. He was based in Singapore to cover the ASEAN5 economies, specifically in the areas of macroeconomic and foreign exchange forecasting as well as interest rates & bond market analysis. Enrico was ranked in the top 10 South East Asian Macroeconomist by Asiamoney magazine in 2011 when he was with OSK-DMG and its Asian research team.
Prior to joining the financial market, Enrico worked as Research Fellow in the Singapore Centre for Applied and Policy Economics (SCAPE), a unit under the Department of Economics of the National University of Singapore. During his tenure at SCAPE, Enrico assisted in developing a macroeconometric model for the Singapore economy that was later on published as a book. He was also involved in consultation work with various Singapore Ministries and Statutory. Enrico published few key journal articles, one of which appears in the Journal of Policy Modeling, entitled “Central Bank Credibility and Monetary Policy in Indonesia”. Enrico graduated with Honors and Master degrees in Economics in 2004, both awarded by the National University of Singapore.
