Eligibility

1. Domestic Applicants

1.1  Eligibility for Monks, Novices and Nuns:


1.1.1  The applicant must have passed the third grade of the Pali examinations (primary level) and completed at least secondary school or

1.1.2  The applicant must have passed the third grade of the Pali examinations and received certification recognised by the university or

1.1.3  The applicant must be an administration Buddhist monk or a teacher of Buddhist morality who has successfully completed the curriculum for certificate programmes as specified by the University, or an administration Buddhist monk or teacher of Buddhist morality who has passed the advanced level of Dhamma examinations and completed high school or equivalent education.

1.1.4  The applicant must be a current student or have completed grade 12 at an Ecclesiastical-high school in the General Education Department (Prariyattidhamma school).

1.1.5  The applicant must have completed the advanced level of the Dhamma examinations and be a current student or have completed high school or equivalent and, upon registration as a student, must study at least 12 credits of Pali courses, except for those who have completed the university's certified Pali course.

1.1.6  The applicant must be a current student or have completed high school or equivalent and, upon registration as a student, must study at least 24 credits of Pali courses, except for those who have completed the university's certified Pali course.

1.1.7  The applicant must be a case approved by the university for special admission to pursue a degree according to the criteria set by the University Council.

1.1.8  The applicant must be physically fit and free from any diseases or conditions that would hinder their studies.

1.1.9  The applicant must not have been previously expelled or dismissed from any educational institution due to misconduct or disciplinary issues.

1.1.10  The applicant must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.00 or higher, or meet the criteria specified by the programme.

1.2  Eligibility for General Applicants:

1.2.1  The applicant must have passed either the primary level of the Pali examinations or Pali Studies and completed at least secondary school or

1.2.2  The applicant must have passed either the primary level of the Pali examinations or Pali Studies and must study additional general courses as specified by the university or

1.2.3  The applicant must have passed either the primary level of the Pali examinations or Pali Studies and hold certification recognised by the university or

1.2.4  The applicant must be a current student or have completed grade 12 from a prariyattidhamma school

1.2.5  The applicant must have completed high school or equivalent or be in the process of completing it under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education, and upon registration as a student, must study at least 12 credits of Pali courses, except for those who have completed the university's certified Pali course.

1.2.6  The applicant must be a case approved by the university for special admission to pursue a degree according to the criteria set by the University.

1.2.7  The applicant must be physically fit and free from any diseases or conditions that would hinder their studies.

1.2.8  The applicant must not have been previously expelled or dismissed from any educational institution due to misconduct or disciplinary issues.

1.2.9  The applicant must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.00 or higher, or meet the criteria specified by the programme.

2. International Applicants

2.1  The applicant must have completed his/her high school or an equivalent degree from a non-Thai educational institute accredited by the Ministry of Education, Thailand. Or, graduated from other educational systems according to the high school curriculum or others equivalent to the basic core education of a particular country and must have a grade point average (GPA) of 2.00 or higher.

Guest native speakers are regularly invited to help honing the students' skills

Lecturers' Academic Enhancement

All lecturers actively reinforce their academic skills to enable the programme for its rigour.

Students' activity promotion

The students are expected to participate in several activities for acquiring lifelong learning.
Students are required to give academic and social welfare services to society by participating in different projects.

The campus is situated in Khok Si Village, which is approximately 15 kilometres East of Khon Kaen City. However, public transportation is still a proper choice for those who want to visit by taking either Nam Phong or Kra Nuan Buses (yellow bus) which pass the University's front gate road.
