Engineering Design
It is important to be sensitive to available resources and parent support when assigning engineering design challenges to kids at home. In many cases, the process of thinking about the design, drawing, and justifying ideas is sufficient. If students are to create anything, make sure to be flexible about materials and ensure they are easily found in a recycling bin at home.
