Endeavor Learning Lab

Welcome to Endeavor Learning Lab! We are a community resource center centering around classes in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM). We offer semester and year-long classes for homeschoolers as well as short classes in technology for every student in the community.

Endeavor Learning Lab is a mission of the Endeavor Church to bring affordable classes to everyone regardless of race, religion, income or nationality. As such, some of the teachers are non-paid volunteers, and others are now paid.

In the lab, we have not only classroom space, but the supplies for most science classes, 3D printers (both filament and resin types), a meteorology center, soldering stations, robotics setups, and many more resources. We also have a volunteer who offers math tutoring on Tuesdays by appointment.

Endeavor Learning Lab currently hosts 3 First Lego League robotics teams: FLL explore team 19905, FLL challenge team 31513 (5th year team) and FLL challenge team 46115 (3rd year team).

Meet the teachers

My name is Bambi Nehring. I am the Director of Programs of Operations at Endeavor Learning Lab and the main teacher ( all volunteer). I also teach science and robotics classes for Faith Covenant Academy.

I have a Bachelor's in Communication Disorders from the University of Houston, a Bachelor's in German Studies from the University of Arizona, and a Teaching degree from the Texas Institute for Teacher Excellence. I am a certified teacher in the state of Texas and keep my teaching certificate current through training and workshops. I love sharing my love of learning with students. You never know what class we will offer next, because I am always learning new things and sharing it with students.

I live in Huntsville with my husband and teenage daughter, whom I homeschool. We attend The Endeavor Church. I am the Project Leader for our church's Samritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child year-round ministry as well as the drop-off coordinator for collection week.

In my spare time, I love to read, go camping, and raise my ferrets.

Stephanie Hawkins, LMSW

I am a motivated professional with a wide range of experience. I am an enthusiast instructor who enjoys sharing an assortment of professional knowledge while incorporating an all-inclusive model of teaching to give each student the opportunity to learn. Experience includes healthcare, juvenile justice, mental health, education and U.S. Department of State. I find purpose when teaching. Since I have taught at the collegiate level and presented research at a national conference, I am able to teach using practical information for your student to use in their next step rather it be college or the workforce. I aim to educate and encourage our future Christian leaders.
