EMS Topical Activity Group
EMS Topical Activity Group
The goal of the EMS Topical Activity Group on Mathematical Modelling in Life Sciences (EMS-TAG-MLS) is to promote collaborative research in mathematical modelling for the life sciences in Europe. The activity group provides an interactive environment for research related to the development and application of mathematical models and computational methods to life-science problems.
The topics of interest include mathematical modelling using deterministic and stochastic approaches; the analysis of ordinary and partial differential equations; numerical methods for direct and inverse problems; and data science and artificial intelligence applied to the life sciences.
28 November 2025: A new board was elected for EMS-TAG, marking the start of a fresh term of leadership and strategic initiatives to advance mathematical modelling in the life sciences.
15 January 2026: EMS-TAG unveiled its official logo, reflecting the group’s identity and its commitment to fostering a vibrant, international research community.
Join Us: EMS-TAG welcomes new members at all career stages who are interested in mathematical modelling in the life sciences. Join the network to collaborate, share expertise, and participate in events and activities.
Call for Activities: EMS-TAG invites members to propose workshops, mini-symposia, webinars, or other scientific activities for the upcoming year. Submit your proposals through our Activity Proposal Form and help shape the group’s programme.
Upcoming: EMS-TAG colloquium – date and details to be announced (TBA).
