PRIVACY POLICY
1. Overview
Empire is a focus and progress-tracking app. The app lets users start timed focus quests, earn local in-app progress, build an empire map, update a profile avatar, and save generated empire images to the device photo library.
Empire is designed so the primary experience can work without requiring an account. Focus progress, quest history, resource counts, region progress, relic progress, streaks, profile settings, and app preferences are stored locally on the user's device unless a feature clearly states otherwise.
2. Information We Collect
Empire may store the following information locally on the device:
- Focus quest duration, selected quest theme, and quest completion status.
- Local empire progress, including resources, regions, buildings, relics, streaks, and unlock status.
- App settings and display preferences.
- Profile avatar selected or captured by the user.
- Images generated by the app when the user chooses to save or share them.
The primary Empire experience does not require users to create an account, does not require users to provide a real name, and does not require users to provide an email address.
3. Camera Access
Empire may request camera permission when the user chooses to take a new profile photo. Camera access is used only for the user-initiated avatar action.
Empire does not use the camera in the background. Empire does not record video or take photos unless the user starts that action.
4. Photo Library Access
Empire may request photo library access when the user chooses to select an existing image for a profile avatar.
Empire may request photo library add permission when the user chooses to save an Empire card, generated image, or app-created image to the photo library.
The app uses photo access only for the action selected by the user. The app does not scan the user's photo library, does not read unrelated photos, and does not upload the user's photos without the user's action.
5. Generated Images
Empire may allow users to generate and save images related to their local empire progress. These images may include local progress information such as empire name, regions, resources, or achievement-style summaries.
Generated images are saved only when the user chooses to save them. If there is no empire data available, the app may show a message instead of saving an image.
6. Local Storage
Empire stores app progress and settings locally on the user's device. If the user deletes the app, resets app data, or changes devices without a backup, local progress may be lost.
7. Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
The primary Empire experience does not track users across other apps or websites. The app does not use third-party advertising identifiers for the primary experience.
If analytics or crash reporting is added in a future version, it will be used to improve app reliability and performance, and the privacy policy will be updated as required.
8. Data Sharing
Empire does not sell personal information. Empire does not share the user's local focus progress, avatar, or generated images with third parties unless the user chooses to share or export content.
9. Children's Privacy
Empire is intended for general productivity and personal focus tracking. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a parent or guardian believes that a child has provided personal information through the app, they may contact the developer through the support channel listed on the App Store product page.
10. Security
Empire uses local device storage for app progress and settings. Users are responsible for maintaining access to their device and device backups. No method of storage is completely secure, but Empire limits the primary app experience to local data where possible.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the app changes or when legal, technical, or App Store requirements change. The updated version will include a new "Last updated" date.
12. Contact
For privacy questions, contact the developer through the support channel listed on the App Store product page.

By downloading, accessing, or using Empire, the user agrees to these Terms of Use. If the user does not agree, the user should stop using the app.
2. App Purpose
Empire is provided as a focus, productivity, and local progress-tracking app. The app is intended to help users complete timed focus quests, build local in-app progress, view empire progress, customize a profile avatar, and save generated app images.
Empire does not provide medical, financial, legal, psychological, or professional advice. Any productivity information in the app is for personal organization and entertainment only.
3. User Responsibilities
The user agrees to use Empire only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not misuse the app, interfere with the app, or violate applicable laws.
The user is responsible for any content they choose to save, export, or share from the app, including generated images and avatar images.
4. Local Progress and Data
Empire progress is primarily stored locally on the user's device. The user is responsible for maintaining device access and backups. Local data may be lost if the app is deleted, device data is erased, or the device is changed without a backup.
5. Camera and Photo Features
The user may choose to take a photo or select an existing photo to update a profile avatar. The user may also choose to save generated Empire images to the photo library.
The user confirms that they have the right to use any image they select, capture, save, or share through the app.
6. Generated Content
Empire may generate visual summaries, cards, or images based on local app progress. Generated content is provided for personal use, sharing, and entertainment. The user is responsible for how they use or share generated content.
7. Intellectual Property
Empire, including its design, app name, interface, graphics, text, and software, is owned by the developer or licensed to the developer. The user may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, distribute, sell, or exploit the app except as allowed by law or by these terms.
8. Availability and Changes
Empire is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Features may be updated, changed, added, or removed over time. The developer does not guarantee that the app will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device or operating system version.
9. No Warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Empire is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. The developer does not guarantee specific productivity results, focus outcomes, streak results, progress outcomes, or uninterrupted app operation.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, local progress, device access, or generated content arising from the use of Empire.
11. Termination
The user may stop using Empire at any time. The developer may restrict or discontinue access to the app if required by law, platform requirements, security concerns, or misuse of the app.
12. Changes to These Terms
These Terms of Use may be updated when the app changes or when legal, technical, or App Store requirements change. Continued use of the app after an update means the user accepts the updated terms.
