Born February 10th, this pup was lucky enough not to know what it’s like to be a stray. She came to me at 8 days old with her mama Birdie and the rest of the flock of pups. Raven is the fluffiest of all the pups; “IT’S SO FLUFFY I’M GONNA DIE!” from Despicable Me, comes to mind. She was originally the runt but quickly caught up with bottle feedings. She likes to be held like a baby. She is a clever little thing, being the first to figure out how to go down the porch stairs in the yard. I have no doubt that will continue. She is a spunky spitfire of a pup, pulling sheets, rags, toys, whatever she can find, across the room to entice her siblings into a game of chase. She could be a really great herding dog with the right training.
Like all pups, she will need and benefit from diligent training to become the best dog she has inside of her. As an heeler-aussie mix she will be high energy, want to herd things, and probably weigh over 50lbs when full grown.
She has been exposed to my 3 dogs on occasion and our barn cats. Most of the cats run, but one very patient kitty has taught her and siblings that cats have claws and hiss. I don’t think the lessons have stuck yet (no injuries have occurred to any parties!)
