Son, Brother, Lover of All
I am currently a second-year M.S. candidate at Rice University in the Earth, Environment, and Planetary Sciences department. I am a field geologist working in the Rice Rock Deformation Lab led by Dr. Melodie French. I study exhumed subduction zones to better understand how changes in composition and texture influence rock strength along plate boundary shear zones.
I graduated from Georgia Southern University in the spring of 2021 with a B.S. in Geology. During my time here, I gained 2 years of research experience. My research here aimed to understand the geologic history that affected the lower Piedmont region of the Appalachians in central and eastern Georgia. I produced an undergraduate thesis on the Modoc shear zone and the deformation fabrics associated with the mountain building during the Alleghanian Orogeny. After graduating in the spring of 2021, I began working in the exploration industry at Piedmont Lithium studying lithium pegmatites in North Carolina.
