We may disclose your data as reasonably necessary to: (i) comply with legal process, such as a court order, subpoena or search warrant, a government/law enforcement investigation, or other legal requirement; (ii) assist in the prevention or detection of crime (in each case, subject to applicable law); or (iii) protect the safety of any person.

We may ask for your consent to share your data with third parties. In any case, we will make it clear why we are sharing the information.
In any of the above situations, we may use and share non-personal data (that is, data that does not identify you by itself, such as device information, general demographics, general behavioral data, and geolocation in de-identified form), as well as personal information in hashed, non-human-readable form.

Account Deletion: If you decide to delete your account, all data we have about you will be deleted, except as follows:
¡Any details you make public (such as comments on other registered users' activities, gifts you share, etc.) will be anonymized, i.e. it will be clear that such details were provided by a deleted user.
¡Any data that is required for the fulfillment of contractual obligations or for compliance with statutory retention obligations by the product shall not be deleted, but shall be reduced to the minimum possible.
¡A deletion request will not affect the data if storage is legally necessary, e.g. for accounting purposes.
Data Security : We implement appropriate administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access and disclosure. For example, only authorized employees are permitted to access personal information, and they may do so only for permitted business functions. In addition, we use encryption technology when transmitting certain of your personal information between your systems and ours, and we use firewalls to help prevent unauthorized access to your personal information. However, please note that we cannot completely eliminate security risks associated with the storage and transmission of your personal information. You should exercise caution when submitting information through the Emma Services and be particularly careful about what information you provide to us.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account information at all times.
Purpose of using device permissions
Album permissions
Usage: This feature primarily allows users to upload personal photos as profile pictures and share photos in their personal feeds, chats, and other scenarios. For example, if you want to update your profile picture to a more personalized one or share an interesting picture in a chat with a friend, you will need to access the photo album permission.
Scope of permissions and how to obtain them: For operations that only require uploading a photo once, such as setting an avatar and publishing dynamic images, we follow Google Store policies and use the system photo picker (such as the Android photo picker). This method does not require broad access to the entire album. The app will only obtain temporary access to a specific photo when you actively select it.
Data Processing: We use the photos we obtain only for the functional purposes you specify and will not process them for other purposes without your consent, such as background scanning for advertising recommendations. We will store (for example, upload to our servers for display in your profile or dynamics), display, and transmit the photos according to your operational instructions. After you delete the relevant photo content, we will also delete the corresponding photo data stored on our servers within a reasonable period of time in accordance with the data lifecycle instructions.
Microphone permissions
Usage: Microphone permission is used to support Emma services, such as voice and video chat, voice message recording, and other features. For example, when you're making a voice or video call with a friend, or want to send a voice message to quickly express your thoughts, the app will request microphone permission.
When to obtain permission: We will request microphone permission only when you actively click to initiate a voice or video chat or start recording a voice message. We will not turn on the microphone in the background without your permission.
Data Processing: Recorded voice data is used only to implement functions you initiate, such as sending it to chat partners or using voice and video features. It will not be used for any other purpose without your authorization. We also implement security measures such as encryption to protect the security of voice data during transmission and storage to prevent data leakage.
Clipboard permissions
Purpose: Obtaining clipboard permissions is mainly used to facilitate text pasting operations when using Emma services, such as pasting copied text content in the chat input box, or pasting previously copied information when filling out a form.
Permission Acquisition and Use Time: The clipboard contents will be read only when you actively paste. The app will not continuously monitor the clipboard in the background or read the clipboard without your permission. Furthermore, the app will only read the clipboard contents related to the current operation and will not obtain other irrelevant information.
Data Processing: The clipboard text is only used to complete the paste operation you initiate and is not processed or stored. After the paste operation is completed, the application does not retain the clipboard content to ensure your privacy.
Notification permissions
Usage: Notification permissions are used to push important messages to you, such as new message alerts from friends, system notifications (such as app update prompts), and updates on events you follow, ensuring you don't miss important information related to you. For example, you will receive a notification when a friend sends you a message or when an online event you're participating in has new progress.
Permission Acquisition and Management: When you install or first use the Emma service, you will be asked for notification permission, which you can choose to allow or deny. If you allow, you can also personalize the type and method of notifications (such as sound, vibration, pop-up, etc.) at any time in the app settings or your phone's system settings. You can choose which types of notifications you want to receive and turn off notifications you don't want to receive.
Notification Content Processing: Push notifications contain only information related to Emma services and will not contain unauthorized advertisements or other irrelevant information. We will strictly protect the security of notification content to prevent malicious access or tampering by third parties.
Bluetooth permissions
Purpose: Obtaining Bluetooth permissions is mainly used to connect to specific Bluetooth devices (such as Bluetooth headsets, etc.) to enable data interaction with these devices. For example, if you want to use Bluetooth headsets to play our resources or conduct voice and video chats, you need Bluetooth permissions.
The app will request Bluetooth permissions from you only when you actively initiate the operation of connecting to a specific Bluetooth device or the Emma service detects that you have a clear need.
Data Processing: Data collected via Bluetooth is used only for purposes related to device functionality and will not be used for unrelated purposes. We encrypt data transmitted via Bluetooth to ensure data security during transmission and prevent it from being stolen or tampered with by third parties.
Location Permissions
Usage description: Location permission is mainly used to implement location-based services. At the same time, to support Bluetooth headset calling functions, access to location permission is required on devices below Android 12 to discover Bluetooth devices. This data is only used for device connection and will not collect or upload geographic location information.
Permission acquisition and mode selection: We will explicitly request location permission when you first use a service that requires location functionality. The app will not continue to obtain your location information when you are not using the relevant location-based services.
Data Processing: The location data collected is used only to provide the services explicitly disclosed above. Your location information will not be disclosed to third parties for advertising or other unauthorized purposes. When you turn off the location feature or stop using related location-based services, the app will stop collecting and using your location information.
What rights do you have?
We want you to be in control of your information, so we provide you with the following tools:
Access/Update tools in the service: Tools and account settings help you access, correct, or delete the information you have provided to us that is associated with your account directly in the service. If you have any questions about these tools and settings, please contact our customer service team for assistance.
Device permissions: Mobile platforms have a permissions system for certain types of device data and notifications, such as location services and push notifications. You can change the settings on your device to consent to or object to the collection of that information or the display of that notification.
If you don't want to share your mobile device's GPS location, microphone, camera, or other similar features, you can turn them off. You can also hide your location, uploaded videos, recent activity time, and other information by adjusting the "Privacy" settings.
Of course, some services may lose full functionality if you do this.
Deletion: You may delete your account by using the corresponding functionality directly on the Service.
We want you to understand your privacy rights. Here are some key points to remember:
Reviewing your information: Applicable privacy laws may give you the right to review the personal information we hold about you (depending on the jurisdiction, this may be referred to as the right of access, the right of portability, or the right to change these terms). If you would like to request a copy of your personal information, please contact our Customer Service Team for assistance.
Updating your information: If you believe that the information we hold about you is inaccurate, or that we are no longer entitled to use it, and wish to request correction, deletion, or object to its processing, please contact our Customer Service Team.
For your protection and the protection of all our users, we may ask you to provide proof of identity before we can respond to the above requests.
Please keep in mind that we may deny a request for certain reasons, including if the request is illegal or may violate the trade secrets or intellectual property rights of another user, or the privacy of another user. If you wish to receive information related to another user, such as a copy of any messages you receive from him or her through our Services, the other user must contact our Privacy Officer to provide written consent before that information can be released.
Additionally, we may not be able to accommodate certain requests to object to the processing of personal information, particularly where such requests would no longer allow us to provide services to you.
Uninstall: You may uninstall the App using your device's standard uninstall process to stop all information collection. If you uninstall the App from your mobile device, the unique identifier associated with your device will continue to be stored. If you reinstall the App on the same mobile device, we will be able to reassociate this identifier with your previous transactions and activity.
Accountability: In some countries, including the EU, you have the right to lodge a complaint with an appropriate data protection authority if you have concerns about how we process your personal information. The data protection authority you can lodge a complaint with may be your place of habitual residence, your place of work, or where we are located.
Child safety
You must be at least 18 years of age to use our services. We do not intentionally collect personal information from you when you use our services, but we may collect your age data to confirm your compliance with our application usage standards. If we inadvertently collect personal information from users under the age of 18, such data will be immediately deleted from our database, which will also mean your account will be blocked. Therefore, we recommend that individuals under the age of 18 do not use our services.
If you encounter suspected child sexual abuse material (CSAM) while using this app, please use the app's report feature to let us know. Our product support team is available 24/7 to quickly process your report. Additionally, our product support team will report any confirmed instances of CSAM to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
Further important information
We work hard to protect you from unauthorized access or alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal information. Like all technology companies, while we take steps to protect your information, we do not promise, and you should not expect, that your personal information will always remain secure.
We regularly monitor our systems to check for possible vulnerabilities and attacks and periodically review our information collection, storage and processing practices to update our physical, technical and organizational security measures.
If we suspect or detect any breach of security, we may suspend your access to all or part of the Services without prior notice. If you believe your account or information is no longer secure, please notify us immediately through our Customer Service.
