Description:
Open Educational Resources (OER) not only make higher education more affordable, but offer instructors greater freedom in how and what they teach. This step-by-step guide for adopting OER offers practical advice rooted in the reader’s own teaching philosophies. Readers will be able to identify OER, find and evaluate resources according to their student learning outcomes, and find, create, and share ancillary materials, such as assessments and activities. Chapters also explore how AI can be used to enhance OER adoption. This brief guide is ideal for anyone getting started with teaching with OER, reinvestigating OER after some time away, or looking to enhance their open practice.
