Hello! My name is Emma Plant - Mother of three, wife, and personal trainer. I have always dabbled in fitness and exercise over the years. The first time I joined a gym was just after I had my first child, my daughter, over 21 years ago.
After the birth of my first son, I took it a bit more seriously, and when he was around 1, I started training for the Brighton marathon. I then found out I was pregnant with my second son.
I suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum with all three of my pregnancies, but the third was the worst, and because of this, exercise and the marathon took a back seat.
About 4 months after having my second son, I got back on track and restarted my fitness journey. This is when I discovered a love for lifting weights and realized that they don't make you "bulky" (unless you want them to).
Reflecting on my situation as a stay-at-home mom (at the time), with no childcare, a tight budget, and minimal equipment, I decided to pursue training as a PT so I could assist others in similar circumstances.
I obtained my qualification in January 2020. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, face-to-face training was not feasible. With the support of some friends and family, I successfully established my online business. I initiated group personal training sessions via Zoom, and to this day, I am grateful to all those who helped me launch my business.
In 2021, I became certified in Pre & Postnatal training, as it is a significant passion of mine. I aim to empower pregnant women to understand the benefits of exercising during pregnancy, a piece of knowledge and guidance I wish I had received.
Furthermore, I completed my Weight Loss Specialist qualification with NASM in February 2021.
This field is crucial to me as I often hear people say, "I don't eat much but still gain weight." I strive to educate both men and women on effective weight loss strategies and maintenance.
Recently, I achieved my NASM Nutrition Coach Qualification. Nutrition plays a vital role, and I believe there is a common misconception that one can eat anything as long as they spend hours on the treadmill. This is simply untrue.
