Welcome to Contacts, developed by Eminent IT Services. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, protect, and handle your information when you use our Contacts application with call blocking functionality.
By downloading, accessing, or using the app, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy applies to information processed through the Contacts application and explains the purposes for which permissions and information are used.
The app may request access to your contacts list to display, manage, organize, and identify contacts and callers.
Contacts data may be accessed only when you grant the relevant permission and is used to provide the app's functionality.
Contacts data is used only within the app and is not uploaded, shared, sold, rented, or disclosed to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
The app does not use your contacts to create advertising profiles or track you across other apps or services.
If you revoke Contacts permission, the app will no longer be able to access your contacts through that permission.
The app may access call logs, incoming call numbers, outgoing call information, and call status to provide call history, caller identification, and call-blocking functionality.
Call-related information may include information such as phone numbers, call type, call status, and the date or time associated with calls, as applicable to the functionality provided by the app.
All call-related data is processed locally on your device unless otherwise explicitly disclosed in this Privacy Policy.
The app does not sell, rent, or share your call logs or call information with advertisers or marketers.
Phone state access is used to detect incoming calls, monitor relevant call states, and apply user-configured call-blocking rules.
This access is required to provide core calling and call-blocking functionality.
The app does not record, intercept, or store call audio.
We may collect limited, non-personal, anonymous usage data, such as crash reports, diagnostics, or performance information, to improve app stability, performance, and user experience.
Such information may include technical information necessary to diagnose crashes or performance problems.
We do not intentionally use this information to identify you personally.
If third-party analytics, crash-reporting, or similar services are integrated into the app, information collected by those services may be processed according to their respective privacy policies and applicable terms.
The information and permissions described above are used strictly to provide and improve the functionality of the Contacts application, including:
Manage and display contacts
Identify incoming calls
Display relevant caller information
Display call history
Block unwanted or spam calls
Apply user-configured call-blocking rules
Detect relevant phone and call states
Provide notifications related to app functionality
Diagnose crashes and improve app performance and reliability
We do not:
Sell, rent, or trade user data
Share personal data with advertisers or marketers
Use contacts or call logs for advertising purposes
Track users across apps or services
Record or store call audio
Use sensitive call-related information for purposes unrelated to the app's core functionality
All sensitive data, including contacts and call logs accessed by the app, remains on your device unless this Privacy Policy specifically states otherwise.
No personal contacts or call-log data is intentionally stored on our external servers.
We apply reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect information processed by the app from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
However, no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Therefore, while we take reasonable measures to protect information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, including any device lock, PIN, password, or other security mechanism.
Because contacts and call-related information used by the app are processed locally on your device, we generally do not retain this information on our servers.
Information stored locally by the app may remain on your device until you delete it through the app, clear the app's data, or uninstall the application, depending on the applicable Android functionality.
You can revoke permissions at any time through your device settings.
Uninstalling the app will stop the app from accessing your device data through its permissions. Data that remains on the device after uninstalling, if any, is controlled by the Android operating system and device settings.
If limited diagnostic, crash, or usage information is processed through a third-party service, retention of that information may be governed by the relevant service provider's retention policies.
The app may request the following permissions to provide core functionality. Permissions are requested only when necessary for the corresponding functionality, and you may grant or deny permissions through Android.
Purpose: To display, manage, organize, and identify contacts during incoming or outgoing calls.
Contacts access is not used for advertising or for selling or sharing your contact information.
Purpose: To identify calls, apply call-blocking rules, and show call history within the app.
Call-log access is used only for functionality related to calling, caller identification, and call management.
Purpose: To detect incoming calls, manage relevant call states, and enable call-blocking features.
The app does not use phone-state access to record call audio.
Purpose: To notify users about blocked calls, identified callers, call-related events, or important app events.
You can manage notification access through your Android device settings.
The app may request to be set as the default call-blocking or phone-handling app, where supported by the Android operating system.
This role is optional and is requested to provide functionality such as:
Block unwanted or spam calls effectively
Apply call-blocking rules
Handle relevant incoming-call functionality
Provide the calling or call-management experience offered by the app
The app does not request this role for advertising, user tracking, or unrelated purposes.
You can change or remove the default app or role through your device's Android settings, subject to the options provided by your device and Android version.
You remain in control of the permissions granted to the app.
You may:
Grant or deny permissions when requested
Revoke previously granted permissions through Android Settings
Disable notifications through device settings
Change the default call-blocking or phone-handling app, where supported
Uninstall the app at any time
If a required permission is denied or revoked, some features that depend on that permission may not function properly.
The app does not attempt to bypass Android's permission system.
The app may use third-party services, such as analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, or other technical services, where applicable.
If third-party services are used, those service providers may collect or process limited information in accordance with their own privacy policies, terms, and applicable laws.
Third-party services integrated into the app are intended to be used in accordance with applicable Google Play policies.
Third-party providers may process technical information such as device information, diagnostics, crash information, app interaction information, or other information necessary to provide their services, depending on the services actually integrated into the app.
We do not authorize third-party services to access your contacts or call logs for advertising or marketing purposes.
For any third-party service that collects information directly from the app, users should also review the applicable privacy policy of that service provider.
If advertisements are displayed in the app, advertising providers may process certain information necessary to provide, measure, and improve advertisements, subject to their own privacy policies and applicable Google Play requirements.
Advertising providers may use information such as advertising identifiers, device information, approximate location where permitted, or ad interaction information, depending on the advertising service and the user's device settings.
The app does not provide advertisers with your personal contacts or call logs for advertising purposes.
Where applicable, advertising and consent controls are handled in accordance with applicable laws, Google Play requirements, and the policies of the advertising provider.
Contacts is not intended for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If we become aware that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected in a manner that violates applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to address and delete such information where required.
Parents or legal guardians who believe that a child has provided personal information to us may contact us using the contact information provided below.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights regarding information processed by the app.
You have the right to:
Grant or revoke app permissions at any time through device settings
Disable notifications through device settings
Change the default call-blocking or phone-handling app, where supported
Uninstall the app to stop future app access to device data
Request information regarding how your data is handled
Contact us regarding privacy-related concerns
Request deletion of personal information that we may hold, where applicable and legally required
Because contacts and call logs are processed locally on your device and are not intentionally stored on our external servers, we generally do not have access to or control over those locally stored data.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We do not share your contacts or call logs with advertisers or marketers.
We may disclose limited information to third-party service providers only when necessary to provide services used by the application, such as analytics, crash reporting, advertising, hosting, or technical services, where applicable.
Such processing is subject to the applicable third-party service's privacy policy and terms.
We may also disclose information when required by applicable law, legal process, court order, governmental request, or to protect our legal rights, users, or the security of the application.
If third-party services used by the application process information outside your country, that information may be processed in countries where those service providers or their facilities are located.
Where applicable, such processing is subject to the service provider's privacy policy and appropriate legal safeguards required by applicable law.
Contacts and call-log data processed locally by the app remains on your device and is not intentionally transferred to our external servers.
We take reasonable measures to protect information processed through the application.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
You should also protect your device with appropriate security measures, such as a screen lock, PIN, password, or biometric authentication.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes to the application, applicable laws, services, or our data practices.
Any changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date and will be made available within the app, on the applicable privacy-policy webpage, or through the Google Play Store listing, as appropriate.
We encourage users to review this Privacy Policy periodically to remain informed about how information is handled.
