[Emily's Pierogis!]
What are Pierogis?
Pierogi or Pierogies, are potato and cheese filled dumpling that are a significant part of Polish culture and history. The Pierogi was considered a staple of the Polish diet. Pierogis are also popular amongst other Slavic countries under similar or very different names and with their own personal twists.
The Pierogis we sell are called, Pierogi Ruskie, meaning Ruthenian Pierogi, stuffed with a homemade potato and cheese filling. These are the most popular version of the Pierogi and are present on every holiday or major occasion.
With out Pierogis you can heat them up since they are already cooked, or pop them in the oven for a few minutes until a cripsy golden brown.
