When you change the email address of a user from the Auth0 Dashboard, it will only change the email from the Primary Connection. This user was attempting to log in with their database username/password account which did not have the email updated since it was the secondary connection.

I recently linked a Gmail domain to Harmony Email. I am now receiving suspicious login alert emails stating that the login attempts made by the auto generated cloud-sev-av user account are being blocked. I also do not have an inbound gateway and SMTP relay service created because of this, at least I think.

After moving email to MS365 servers the address connected to a dropbox account was missed by the IT team and remained dead for almost 1 year. This accont has now been created out on MS365 but it would seem that dropbox has now stopped trying deliver to this email address, no doubt due to bounced emails, so we are unable to get password reset and 6 digit code emails from dropbox to log back into the account. How can I move forward to resolve this issue ?

And if you're wondering why I would like to change my email address, it's simply because when I create an account on a website, I always sign up using a temporary email address, and if I'm interested in said-site, I update my infos on the site in order to have a permanent account. A) The email address you enter in your profile page is not used for logging in. It is used for account recovery and finding your account when you attempt to contact Stack Exchange support. The only thing that is used to log you in are the accounts listed under "my logins" which is why you have to have at least one on your account.

B) Yes, you can add any login method you want. My guess, though, is that you want to re-add the Stack Exchange OpenID login, but under a new email address. Unfortunately it is not possible to change your email on a Stack Exchange OpenID. You would have to create a new Stack Exchange OpenID with your new email address in order to do that.

C) I'm guessing that you still have your old Stack Exchange OpenID email address set in the email field on your Stack Overflow profile. There is an automated account recovery process in place to prevent users accidentally creating duplicate accounts. Background - most of our Okta users have their login as firstname.lastname and email as a valid email, they access multiple applications, we want to standardized login policy so we decided that login should always be an email, but some of the apps are not yet ready to update the users profile they still want the user to login using their firstname.lastname, so for apps that are ready we want to update their tenant to use the same user profile but instead of updating the user profile (since its shared) just start using the email address to validate against the user profile on a authn call.

You will need to reach out to your school's Online Learning / eLearning / Distance Learning department to have them help you with your login information. Every school that uses Canvas handles their logins differently, and so we here in the Community wouldn't have access to that information. In order to transition to Glitch, we will need a username/password system that is independent of email tokens. Ideally, a classroom login/password that could be used for multiple students, as that is what we did with Thimble.

One option would be for you to share an account as you seemed to indicate you did with Thimble. Our email-based login uses a simple-to-understand token system for logins, so if your students used a single email address that someone could access from class (your own, for instance) the tokens are easy to write down or share aloud for others to be able to log in under the same account.
