Recognition and formation of Diplomatic Relations with the State of Palestine Executive Order 2024

(1)       I, Benjamin Shaw, the Federal President of Elsongia, use my official powers as vested in me under the Constitution and the Acts of Parliament, specifically the Diplomatic Relations Acts of 1829, 1894, 1919, 1925, 1949, 1967, 1991, and 2002 in this Executive Order.

(2)       I officially order the Department for International Relations to enter diplomatic relations with the Government of the State of Palestine (the Palestinian National Authority).

(3)       Elsongia will be willing to enter into negotiations and agreements with Palestine, will investigate the possibility of upgrading current or opening new diplomatic missions in Palestine, and consider allowing the State of Palestine and Palestinian National Authority to upgrade current or open new diplomatic missions in Elsongia.

(4)       A state by the formal name of the State of Palestine will be added to the register of states that Elsongia recognises. Its official short name in English will be “Palestine”. Its capital will be recognised as Jerusalem, and its administrative centre will be recognised as Ramallah.

(5)       The borders of this state will be officially recognised as the territory of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

(6)       Elsongia will only recognise the legitimacy of the Palestinian National Authority and, currently, the Palestinian Liberation Organization as the Government of Palestine. Any illegitimate or terrorist organisation in control of any part of Palestine, such as Hamas, will not be recognised and Elsongia is prepared to help fight these groups.

(7)       This recognition does not affect Elsongia’s recognition of Israel, except in the aforementioned matter of the West Bank and Gaza Strip becoming a recognised territory of Palestine.

(8)       More complex matters may be decided by informal policies of the Department for International Relations.

(9)       I authorise this executive order with my below signature on the twenty-second day of the month of May in the year 2024.
