Father Ted is a sitcom, set on the fictional Craggy Island, a remote location off Ireland's west coast. The series was aired from April 1995 until May 1998.
Father Ted Crilly (Dermot Morgan) alongside fellow priests Father Dougal McGuire (Ardal O'Hanlon) and Father Jack Hackett (Frank Kelly) have been dishonourably exiled on the island for various reasons by the Bishop. The priests live together in the parochial house with their housekeeper Mrs Doyle (Pauline McLynn).
