Hi community, as the title says, when i try to reproduce an audio track, sony vegas completely mess the aduo device. If i have headphones on, everything reproduced on correct device, but the sony vegas audio go out of my monitor. I already changed, in sony vegas, the correct audio output but it continually give me this problem.

I really like sony vegas, and I'm thinking about buying a new editing software. I have been using shotcut for 6 years to run my small (80 subscriber) youtube channel, and I hate how limiting it is. I have used a friend's copy of sony vegas on their computer before a while ago and I just don't know if it's worth buying. I'm against piracy, so that's out of question but I'm not sure what the best payment option is. There's the one time payment for 300, theres the annual option, and the monthly, and the one month. I'm not sure if its a subscription that turns into a non subscription ownership or not and that's the main thing I am curious about. If anyone can tell me if I should, or any alternatives that would be better for my situation, please let me know.

At the end of my tether with this honestly. I have sony vegas platinum 16.0. I have always used vegas and never had any issues. But I use it to put together movies I make. So it requires lots of video clips that could be over an hour long. I've got a video currently at 1 hour and 14 minutes and I have to open the project, it will freeze and crash. Then I have to close it. Re-open it again, let it crash again. The procedure is constant for around 3 attempts at opening it, until it eventually will open.
