Parent Questions About Meets
What kind of meets should my swimmer be entering?
There are two different types of meets are team attends. Age Group Meets; where swimmers compete by age brackets, and Senior Meets; where swimmers compete by time. Most Senior meets are limited to swimmers 13 years and older. Age group meets are open for everyone. Some Meets are qualifier meets and require a time standard. Coaches will discuss these meets with swimmers individually.
Being a Swim Parent
The most important thing you can do as the parent of a swimmer is to love and support your child, both in and out of the pool. This support is a key factor in fostering enjoyment and learning as well as contributing to the child's individual success in the pool.
