I am a data assimilation scientist and oceanographer. Formerly an embedded software engineer, I have an interdisciplinary background and passion for difficult problem solving. I received my PhD in from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography in May 2026. My research lies at the intersection of computational sciences and physical oceanography, where I use these methods to learn about the world around us and to improve our ability to make predictions.
I am motivated by projects that are novel, challenging, and impactful. In addition to my research, I am passionate about science communication, open-source software, and female empowerment in engineering and geophysics.
I have industry, research, and instructional experience in a variety of topics including equatorial dynamics, software engineering, robotics development, data assimilation, numerical modeling, and open-source software ecosystems.
