Ella's Collection

About Me

Welcome to my portfolio, I'm Ella Masters. I grew up and live in Columbus, Ohio and I'm currently a senior at Gahanna Lincoln High School. In school, I'm a contributing member of two National Honor Societies, I am a founding member and Social Media Director for our Amnesty International charter, and I work part time as a server at a local Sporting Club. In my free time I love art, film, reading, attending live music events, traveling, spending time in nature and being with my dog. My goal is a career in architecture with a strong focus on sustainability and preparation for the changing climate.

About My Work

For my portfolio collection, I've pulled work from current classes, former classes and my own creations.

My first section, Architecture I-III is from a pre-college, 4 semester satellite program I've been enrolled in since my junior year. The works from I & II reflect the work we did in the first two semesters of the program. In my current senior year I will complete semesters III & IV. Presently, I am in Architecture III, which is centered around a library design/build in changing environments. Semester IV begins in January and will culminate in a capstone project of my choice. The program is one of the few of its kind in Ohio, and I was one of two students selected for the National Technical Honors Society from our cohort. It has been a fantastic experience! More information about the program is at https://www.eastlandfairfield.com/o/hs/page/architecture-and-construction-management

The following section, CCAD College Preview, contains work I did during a three week intensive program living on-campus at the Columbus College of Art and Design. My program focus was on Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design and Fashion Design. I loved getting a sample of the college experience and how immersive the program was. More details can be found at https://www.ccad.edu/college-preview

The next two sections, Creative Concepts and Drawing I, reflect work I completed in those high school courses. Creative Concepts focused on the elements and principles of art using a wide variety of media to develop our creative visual voices. Drawing I focused on basic drawing techniques, perspectives, color theory and more. These two classes gave me a strong foundation in visual arts, improved my confidence, and helped me find my own voice.

Finally, in Personal Art, I included my own creations. These are works that I have done over the course of the past 4 years for my own enjoyment.
