Lassie is a hypothetical, Scottish Government run scheme which provides all 11 year old girls with a free sports kit bag filled with the essentials for continuing sport during puberty. This was created after research found 60% of UK girls drop out of sport by the age of 16 - with the main reason being puberty. This project consisted of designing packaging, t-shirts, booklets
and posters.
NTS required T-Shirts as promotion for Pinewood Gin. These were to be worn by staff in the bars and shops that the gin is sold. On the front, the design features each of the botanicals within the gin. On the back the gin's slogan "Raw Nature, Distilled".
Worked with Braemar Chocolate shop to help rebrand all of their packaging. Inspired by the local area, the new visual identity embraced the native birch trees and organic colours of the Cairngorms and the chocolates.
I enjoy creating these oil pastel landscape pictures as gift cards for people. It allows me to get off the computer and create something by hand.
I was asked to create a logo for the Community Landownership and Accademic Network (CLAN). They like the concept of a Celtic tree of life as the symbolism fit with the ethos of CLAN " I am trying to bring together - community, nature, knowledge, power, connecting the present with ancestors, the multiple meanings of ‘roots’, the interconnected nature of the Celtic knot, the Scottish flavour but with international resonance.”
Birlinn needed a book cover for the book 'Locked Antlers' which details the historic battle over Scotland's deer management. The cover merges both the deer aspect and the trees (silhouette in necks). Minimilistic cover contrasts to many similiar scottish history or land management books.
The brief was to create accessible packaging for
those with mobility restrictions, whilst also making it
as sustainable as possible. I chose to do toothbrush
packaging as this is hard to open even without
restricted mobility and is often made from plastic
which is bad for the environment.
