Thorson's Auto Shop

Biography:

My name is Austin Thorson. I grew up in Appleton, Wisconsin and attended UW- Stout for technology education. Upon graduating in 2011, I made my way to Southeastern Wisconsin when I accepted a position as Elkhorn's technical education teacher. This will be my 12 th school year at Elkhorn. I currently teach all the auto technology courses including consumer auto and a student led service center. My goal is help students gain hands on experience in skilled trades and connect them with career opportunities in the community. In my free time I enjoy snowmobiling, skiing, running, restoring old trucks, and playing with my coon hound Maggie. My wife teaches 5th grade at Jackson and we just welcomed our first child in March, a little girl named Amelia.
