I am a PhD candidate at the University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business and Economics, and I am on the job market in Fall of 2025.
I am a labor economist predominately researching inequality in earnings, income, and health outcomes. My work focuses on the causes of changing fertility trends and how family structure impacts economic inequality through a social safety net tied to marriage and childbearing. I leverage multiple sources of public and restricted data to gain a comprehensive understanding of how differences across and within demographic groups impact the efficacy of policies and the accuracy of inequality estimates.
My job market paper, “The Effect of LARC on Teen Birth Spacing and Infant Health: Evidence from Changes in the Medicaid Payment Structure”, was awarded the Horowitz Foundation grant for outstanding social policy research in 2025.
Fields: Labor Economics, Public Economics, Health Economics
Current Research: “The Effect of LARC on Teen Birth Spacing and Infant Health: Evidence from Changes in the Medicaid Payment Structure” and “Black-White Income Inequality: The Rising Importance of Single Women”
