Hi! I am an Assistant Professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), in the Department of Business (Faculty of Economics and Business), where I am also the Coordinator of Research Seminars. I hold a Ph.D. in Management cum laude from LUISS University, and I was Visiting Scholar at Texas Christian University, M.J. Neeley School of Business, during the Academic Year 2023/2024.
I am a strategy scholar and economic sociologist. My research examines how and why firms select, retain, and replace senior leaders, using CEO succession, dismissal, and executive labor markets as windows into organizational control and survival.
Methodology and Epistemology are also a main research emphasis of mine. Different causal logics and alternative analytical methodologies inform my research at every stage, from theorizing to empirical modeling. I mostly work with methods of necessity and sufficiency, particularly Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA) and Necessary Condition Analysis (NCA).
