SUMMARY

Right now, in the United States of America, the rich are getting richer while working class people continue to be forced to decide between healthcare and dinner. This unsustainable capitalist system is leading to the destruction of our planet, and the erosion of human rights. While so many people work long hours, they continue to see the wealth that they produce get ripped right out of their hands, only to be hoarded by CEOs and shareholders. This is why we need an immediate redistribution of wealth, and land in the United States, and the abolition of private property. Here is where I stand on other issues:

healthcare is a human right.

I stand in full support of a single-payer healthcare. It is time to abolish the private insurance industry and provide 21st century high quality healthcare as a right to all people, regardless of work status and free of charge.

HOUSING IS A HUMAN RIGHT.

While so many people are living a paycheck a way from homelessness, the crisis of housing affordability becomes real for so many working people. We have 3 million people living out on the street or without permanent living arrangements. This is disgusting. We see the lack of tenants' rights to bargain for affordable housing. I believe that housing is a human right, and the government has a role to play in ensuring that all persons are housed.

EDUCATION IS A HUMAN RIGHT.

Public education is under attack by big money special interests, and corporations. Both democrats and republicans claim that they stand for public education, while making cuts and funding private schools. I believe that tuition free public college and university is our future, and that private schools should not exist.

FOOD & WATER IS A HUMAN RIGHT

Too many children are starving. Too much food is going to waste. So many bellies rumble with hunger. Water is facing the threat of privatization. I believe that food and water are public commodities that should be protected in the public interests, and shall be available to all people..

ANTI-WAR & IMPERIALISM.

I oppose all forms of war and imperialism. It is time to close all US military bases overseas, and provide reparations to nations that we have destroyed by our savage assaults on humanity. We must oppose war, and fight for a world of peace and diplomacy. I also believe that we need to end all US Aid (economic and military) to the Israeli apartheid regime, and other apartheid regimes such as: Saudi Arabia, Brasil, and Columbia).

CRIMINAL JUSTICE REFORM

The criminal justice system in the United States is about profit and racial oppression. Our laws continue to place people of color and our communities under attack, in what could only be described as The New Jim crow. We need to dismantle our racist apartheid criminal justice system. That includes prison reform, and overhauling police departments that continue to kill and harass people of color every day.

PUBLIC JOBS PROGRAM

We need a 21st century public sector jobs program. To create jobs, we need to address our infrastructure, our energy system, and public education funding. We must place an emphasis on the arts, entertainment, and trade programs. This allows students to get good jobs after high school. I also strongly support workers' right to collectively bargain.

CLIMATE JUSTICE

We need a ban on fracking, off-shore oil drilling, and natural gas. In order to preserve our future for the next generation, we need to move towards 100% renewable energy. We can create millions of jobs, and save our planet in the process.

INFRASTRUCTURE & POWER GRID

It is time to rebuild our crumbling infrastructure, starting with rebuilding our roads, highways, and bridges. We also must bring our power grid into the 21st century. In addition, our transportation system needs 21st century high speed rails and pupil systems.

LGBT+ EQUALITY

As a proud gay man, I support the continuing movement for equality for LGBTQ+ folks. This includes protecting transgender and non-binary people by legislation.

ERADICATION OF YOUTH POVERTY

Living in Broward County, I see everyday, a young person living out on the street. 29% of Broward's poverty rate are young people living in poverty. We must assist at-risk youth, most whom are LGBT, and meet the 4-test rule.

HUMAN & SEX TRAFFICKING

As a victim of rape, I understand firsthand the importance of ensuring that we address sexual violence. In our communities today, there is an issue of human and sex trafficking. We need not only to educate our youth and parents, but assist those who escape.

MENTAL HEALTH

The United States is one of the largest countries in the world that does not have a 21st century mental and psychological healthcare system.

DECRIMINALIZING HEMP & KEEPING IT LOCAL.

The war on drugs must end. A crucial step in that direction is the decriminalizing of marijuana and hemp products. We must also treat drug addiction as a public health crisis, not a criminal justice issue. In addition, I do not believe in the monopolization of weed once it is legalized. Steps must be taken to ensure that local dealers are protected. 420 must be safe, so we need to crack down on synthetic weed by fining those who sell it and prosecuting individuals who cause a death by synthetic weed..

NATIONALIZE THE BANKS.

NATIONALIZE ENERGY
