Ellie Hayes

I am a PhD student at University of Glasgow, advised by Ana Lecuona and Andy Wand. 

My work mostly focuses on applying various flavours of Heegaard Floer theory to questions about knots and slice surfaces.

I am also interested in knot concordance, contact topology, and knot Floer homology for it's own sake.

Previously, I did my Master's on exotic spheres with Mark Walsh at Maynooth University.
