Elevated Shaved Ice launched in July 2020 is managed and operated by East High student Lulu Kahn. Launching a new business during a global pandemic was challenging, but also a great way to learn about entrepreneurship and the many steps it takes to start a small business: from researching the business idea and licensing requirements to developing the menu and logo, buying supplies and learning payroll laws and bookkeeping skills!

While the trailer is most often parked across the street from the Denver Aquarium on hot summer days, Lulu also caters private parties and is excited to partner with you for fundraising events. In 2021, she donated a portion of her sales to Project C.U.R.E, raising over $500 for the non-profit that sends donated medical supplies and equipment to developing countries.
