Dr Elena Mariani

I am a PhD candidate in Demography and Population Studies in the Department of Social Policy at the London School of Economics (LSE). I am affiliated with the Centre of Analysis of Social Exclusion (CASE). I was a visiting researcher at the Deutsches Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung in 2015.

Before starting my PhD I completed my MSc in Social Research Methods and MSc in European Social Policy at the LSE, Master 1 in Economics at the Toulouse School of Economics and bachelor degree in Economics and Social Sciences at Bocconi University (Milan).

My PhD thesis explores the role of family processes in explaining job satisfaction. I have presented my work at numerous national and international conferences.
