scott_b: Glad that you enjoyed Agartha-S. I enjoyed it as well. As I mentioned elsewhere, after I beat the end boss, I went back to unlock all the other levels, and most of the additional characters. I like that most of the characters play very differently. When I unlocked the ninja it almost felt like a different game. He can rappel and swing around like Spider-Man but has very limited elemental powers. Conversely, the Geomancer and Alchemist can manipulate elements in unusual ways. The Geomancer came in handy in many levels, because (given solid ground) he can effectively build his own ladder upwards. I found the Alchemist difficult to use in most cases - but ironally needed him to beat the end boss. I also like the variety in the levels. They are not totally open-ended, but it seems re s often more than one viable solution. However, it also seems that some levels perhaps cannot be completed by certain characters not sure about that, though. As you mentioned, the "meta" of the game is also interesting, as one has to use the level select screen to help deduce the likely location of the many secret exits. I can't recall seeing this in a game before I imagine there is some precedent, but can't think of one. I will say that I found the controls & movement less than ideal, but I was able to work with it. It wasn't insurmountable, and for me the pros outweighed the cons. Finally, you could call Agartha-S a hidden gem to the extent there has been practically no promotion of it. I noticed some articles in Siliconera months ago, and then it popped up on the eShop. Very glad I found it but many gamers will never notice it, especially since new titles rapidly fall off the main eShop pages.
scott_b: I think some of the hidden exits are probably more accessible using certain characters. For example, the exits near the top of the level might be more easily accessed by the Ninja (who can rappel upwards) or the Geomancer (who can stack solid ground beneath himself). Might also be true of some of the exits obscured by solid water, ice, lava, etc. You might need a character who can clear earth efficiently and/or has efficient elemental powers, such as the Wizard or maybe Geomancer. Gunner is still a very useful character in general, but sometimes you might need to try another one. I recently unlocked Robot, which is a bit bizarre. Ultra high HP, a weird/throwaway elemental power (spilling oil!?), a guided missile and a self-destruct trigger, leaving only his head to hop around for a few seconds. Have not unlocked Farmer yet; from the description, he sounds like another oddity.
Ultima I-III are one of Aemo's strongest magic abilities, and is learned from the Ultima Weapon Eidolon. The ability deals massive non-elemental damage to all enemies and ignores enemy damage negate buffs. Each version of Ultima costs 130 MP for Aemo to cast. When combined with the Ultima Weapon signet's passive of increasing the chances of Aemo's magic attacks landing critical hits by 25%, it allows for the possibility of Ultima exceeding 100,000 points of damage.
Originally Ultima dealt three non-elemental magic hits to all targets, making the spell one of the least used rank 6 black magic abilities due to its lack of utility in most end-game content. Due to the spell becoming underused in end-game activities that required exploiting enemy elemental weaknesses and elemental chaining, Ultima was buffed during the March 2020 maintenance update for the game's Japanese client. This update caused the spell to deal prismatic-elemental damage, causing the spell to deal damage of all the game's nine elements.
Devil Fruit users are capable of using Haki themselves. In fact, Devil Fruit users can use the two abilities together to make one or the other more effective. Busoshoku cannot be used on attacks that are not from one's body except for weapons, but can be used on anything generated by one's Devil Fruit powers (like Kizaru's laser beams or Marco's phoenix flames). Charlotte Katakuri has shown that one does not even need to be in direct contact with said substance to imbue their Busoshoku Haki into it.
